Unhappy Radiator Fan

I have an 88 944 N/A, my problem is my radiator fan stays on all the time I have disconnected the temp switch on the radiator and I turned on the car withour starting it and it on even with the engine cold, Is it safe to assume that the problem is in the relay. Thanks for you time.

relay or temp sender,

pull the relay, check for corrosion, and refit
also its a good bet to replay anyway and then re-test

Sounds like the relay. I have heard that you can take them apart and clean them up.
