944 to 944S Frankenstein Engine???
Has anyone ever put a 944S head onto an N/A engine (without changing pistons)?
I realize that I need different head studs, and that in theory I should change the ECU and pistons... BUT would the valves hit the pistons if I left the N/A 8V pistons in?
Basically... I blew my timing belt and I've got a 16V head sitting in my garage...

I think you can only use the block. Nort Northam in Orlando knows someone that has done it. But, I am pretty sure that you have to change the pistons. He can be reached at the Northam Collection in Orlando. I don't know the number off hand, but it is in directory assistance, cause that is where I got it the last time.

Hi Colin,
I have an 87S that I may need a head for. My chain tensioner broke and broke off teeth on the intake cam, broke the casting were the tensioner is bolted and I don't know yet if I bent valves.Let me know if you would be interested in selling your S head.I would need to know soon because I take it to the mechanic tomorrow.

my S head is actually from a 928 S4... a bit different. The only difference that I know of is that the water passage (front of motor) is not opened up... I was simply gonna machine it out.
You probably will be scared to use my cylinder head... but if your not we could likely work something out.
send me an email if you like.
