Shifter Rattle at 2900 rpm

Shifter Rattle at 2900 rpm
My shifter seems to rattle around 2900 rpms.....anything before or after is fine tho.
Anyone have the same problem????

Hi Zoomworm,
I've had this coppied from the Porsche Club GB for just this perpose, hope it helps you.
"Pull up the leather gaiter and then the rubber one underneath (I bet it will be split ) and then you can pull out a spring clip at the bottom of the aluminium **** shaft (oo-er). After that the **** just pulls off.
There should be a rubber cap right at the end of the hole in the **** and also a diamond shaped collar that sits around the lever toward the bottom of the **** shaft. If they are present but not in the right place then try washing up liquid on the outside of the diamond one to let the **** slide over it, if they are missing they are not expensive from the dealer."
