Question What causes blinker to not auto shutoff

I recently bought an 87S. The blinkers work fine, but stay on even after the steering wheel returns to the straight forward position. What do I need to replace to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah i had the same problem. The stupid part is expensive! Make sure you match up the right part to your car. There are different stalks depending on if you have air bags, cruise control, etc...

There is a way to fix this:
Do a search in the archieves for 'turn signal' and you should find the procedure. Instead of replacing the expensive part.

There's a way to fix it without replacement? Wow. Mine actually broke. A small piece of plastic about 1/5" fell out into my hand after using the turn signal once! I knew right there that the piece of plastic was gonna cost me!

yes, easy fix if it didnt actually break. just some electrical tape around the nubb that sticks off the back at teh steering wheel that hits that plastic piece will do it. just gotta make it thick enough to make enogh contact because teh part wore a little.
