Default 944 S2 Cab Sound System

Getting great sound out of an S2 Cab is no small feat.

I am curious to hear what others have done.

I feel my sound is very good, but not excellent,..still lacks some massive power witout distortion.

I have a PPI amp, and a carefully constructed 10 inch JBL woofer that hides in the trunk without giving up much of the little trunk space we have.

My main curiousity is if someone has put in more than the 4 x 6 speakers in the front....can 6 x 9 fit in there?

Thoughts?

S.

HI Sorge,

This is a project I'm starting ( a long running one)

You CANT easily fit 6x9's the door has cut outs specially.

The best solution is to upgrade the fronts to Polk 6x4 co-axials

have a look at my site, goto the Porsche/projects section

I used Infinity 645 plate speakers in the back t replace the PO's Pioneer two-ways. It was an easy swap. If I ever get this 964 then the speakers and a bunch of other stuff will be showing up on eBay and the classifieds.

i have 6 3/4" woofers and 1" tweeters in the doors, and upgraded to infinity plate speakers for the rear panels....then lastly added a 8" bazooka for the trunk. i mounted my cd changer with velcro and it doesn't move. i have 2 amps in the rear tucked in the drivers side space in the trunk. my sound is loud and clear....bottom and highs...when the top is down, i just lower one of the rear seat tops so the bass can be let loose. i'm pretty satisfied.
