Well, I'm not sure about the crank sensor. The flywheel sensor is on the bellhousing on the driver's side. The wire coming up from the sensor is a heavy black cable, kind of like the brake cable on a bicycle and has a plug on the end that attaches to another plug at the back of the engine. But the symptoms that you are describing are not the same that I have experienced. I'm not sure about your issue. If I had to guess I would say fuel system for your problem.
