AC solenoid vacuum tube connection
One of the two solenoids controlling the airconditioning vents and hot water valves went bad and it was blowing the fuse.
I took both of them out (they are located in the passenger side footwell, attached to the center heater unit.
Both of them are connected to two vacuum hoses.
Now what happened to me is that when I tried to disconnect the vacuum tube on the upper solenoid, the vaccum tube actually disconntected on the other end, somewhere far up the center heating unit, probably just under the dashboard.
Any idea where that tube is connected and if I have to take out the dashboard now to get it reconnected???
Also, I bought some vacuum hose and a local car parts store. I thought they are all the same, but now when I look at it the Porsche hoses have a little larger diameter but feel much sturdier, but aren't as elastic anymore. So replace them with the new vacuum hoses, or replace them only with original Porsche vacuum hoses or another brand (any suggestions?)
Thanks, Stefan
