Relay is energized w/ign off
 

Hello!
I came across this relay while repairing the ventilation controls and a rats nest of wiring in my 1983 944. I am having difficulty identifying it as it was laying on the transmission hump. When I moved it I noticed it was very warm and the ignition had not been on in hours. In my experience relays don't stay energized so I'm a bit concerned. Hopefully, the pictures can help id it's a purpose and help me find the problem. As my Haynes wire diagram is not reliable.
