1986 944 NA Serious Battery Drain after Battery & Alternator replacement
I had a dead battery so I replaced it with a new good battery. It kept dying, so I had it tested, and the battery was good, but the Alternator was only delivering 10.5v....I replaced the Alternator, and the place I purchased the alternator, gave me another battery because that's just how cool they are, and it was charging at approx 13.2, and the ammeter finally went above 12. . , and stayed with the lights in and wipers, etc..
I don't know what the issue with this 944 is, but other than the digital clock and possibly the clock in the radio, the battery keeps draining. I start the car and the volts are at 12, and not higher. It struggles to start unless I charge the battery, but then it happens again in a week or 2.
What in the world could be causing this? The ammeter rarely goes above 12
