Advice on cam/balance belt tension/wear -1988 944s

Default Advice on cam/balance belt tension/wear -1988 944s

Hi all would like some advice on the video attached


car has been stood for a while - before I turn it over want some advice
ive drained old fuel, replaced fuel filter and cleaned the strainer
i’ve Taken air box and cam belt cover off to inspect the belts

looking at the wear/tension of the belts am I safe to turn it over??
if not what you recommend

Belt inspection usually means looking for cracks, fraying, discolouration, dryness, etc. To me, it looks quite fine. But I guess you'd have to take it off and bend it to see for sure.

It sure doesn't look like it'll snap on startup though!

How long has it sat for? If you are worried about the belts failing then I would change them.
