Default Power Steering cuts out!!!

I have a 1986 Porsche 944, the power steering has already been replaced (lines, pump, and all) and it works but when I start hitting bumps or doing a lot of turns the power steering gets heavy and eventually stops all together. It eventually comes back but it soon cuts back out again. When I turn I FEEL a little "click" in the wheel. I have already adjusted the tension on the belt and my pump isn't loosing any ATF (with Dextron) so does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do next. I can't have the power steering cutting out when I am making sharp/quick/unexpected turns.

Your pump is worn out. Replace it.
