Art Vandelay

I've had my 1987 NA for about six months and it has some strange electrical behaviors going on that I haven't been able to diagnose. The power windows both work without the key inserted, and I hear an occasional faint clicking (some sort of relay) behind the dash in the general vicinity of the glove box. The dome light works in the "On" position, but does not respond in the "Door" position. The ignition ding turns off when I close the driver's side door, but If I start the car with the door open, it doesn't make any sound at all. I also have significant battery draw and have to leave a trickle charger connected or the battery will go flat in 2-3 days. Anyone experienced these symptoms before?
