Default 944 GTS?

Just a quick question, is there such a thing as a 1983 Porsche 944 GTS? I stumbled upon a listing for one on craigslist but i cant seem to find anything about a GTS package for the 944. Is that a thing or is it just someone trying to pass it off as something "rare" or bought it thinking it was. Thanks
Here are some of the pictures that were included in the craigslist post

Nope, seconded.

The body kit parts were probably labeled 'GTS Conversion' or some such gimmick.

Nope.. although the body add ons are most likely OEM Porsche. The ventilated rear bumper is a Euro model piece, and the hood scoop is a Carrera GT/931 (924 turbo) but on the other side of the hood. The wheels are cookie cutters that were painted. It was someone's project obviously, and while the mats are a little tacky it is probably pretty fun. 944 is very picky on the maintenance, especially the timing and balance belts and rollers. look for that maintenance record to be safe, the interval is every 30k or 3 years.

I've been seeing this particular 944 for sale for a few years now. To be honest, I'd be wary of the person selling it because of this nonsense. Doesn't help with credibility.

I'm definitely not going to buy this car, i'd prefer not to buy anything from someone that is trying to sell a car for more money than its worth to someone that doesn't do their research. Especially because he blatantly states it is a "Sports Package" that came with a car, not a project from a third party. Probably not a very trustworthy person to begin with.
