Default 1983 944 dash wiring question

I took my dash apart to replace my heater core. It was every bit as tough a job as everyone says it is. I put everything back together and I had one wire that I couldn't figure out where it goes. I think this has something to do with the heater or AC vent controls, but I could be way off. I've tried searching, looking at manuals, etc, but can't find what I should be connecting it to. It Y's out of a large bundle of cables which split off to a number of center console connectors, like the clock and the the warning lights (e-brake/seat belt/other thing). I've looked all over the place and can't find anything that looks like it connects to this. Anyone know?

I could be mistaken, but that looks like the cruise control module plug. I have the same (empty) connector on my '84, routed to the bottom of the center console. (Right next to the module bracket.)

Thanks, I'm pretty sure you are right. I don't have cruise control, and I absolutely can't find anywhere to plug this in. So I imagine it is part of the wiring harness, but only used when the CC option is installed.
