M030 Spindles onto a non M030 original 944S2
Will putting M030 Spindles on a non M030 944S2, mean I need wider front guards. (I have wider guards from my 944 TurboS going through a mid life conversion)
I understand it will change the front offset to ET65, 65mm
If I want to run 8.5 inch wide 17 inch diameter wheels, what offset should they have .. the same, ET65?
On the rear, 10 inch wide 17 inch, current offset is ET52, 52mm correct? So I need essentially the same offset ?
Or do I have it completely wrong? (I have rescued some Fikse FM10 17 inch wheels 10 inch ET 28 and 8.5 inch ET 28 that came off an 86 Turbo, and would like to repurpose)

The M030 spindles primary difference is the way that the calipers mount (radial bolts instead of outer to inner bolts). The M030 calipers also came with a unique hub for that caliper (1 mm thicker) to center the brake rotor in the M030 caliper.
The Fikse wheels that you mention have the wrong offset and will stick out whether you use the M030 spindle or the 944S2 (normal) spindle. You cannot fit an ET 28 wheel on an ET 52 spindle without rubbing.
