I need to replace my pads. What did you use to strip the old glue off? Did you remove the hood to install the new pads?

944 Online. These are the $79 ones that have the sticky stuff already on them - I really like them.

I first put down a plastic tarp over the engine and scraped the old stuff off with a plastic putty scraper.
Then I used some "Goo-off" that I got at Home Depot (It had an Orange Scent).
I sprayed it down (I covered the fenders to ovoid any over spray), and let it sit for 10 mins, sprayed again, and then scraped. The pictures show about the best that I could get it.

The pads have a sticky backing. No hood removal necessary.

Looks good! Actually nearly exact match to what I am doing right now (even same color car). I just bought car, and insulation was just falling off so laid down a tarp over engine bay and fenders and within 30s had the insulation removed. Adhesive was incredibly tough to remove. I used a Turtle Wax sticker remover, but didn't work well. Next, I bought some 3M Adhesive Remover. Works ok, but have to use a lot of product and time the scrape just right to get max results. Ultimately, I removed about 80-90% of adhesive. Still waiting on new pads from Pelican.
