To fix or not to fix
Hello,
Ok, so i got the 944 (1987) to the house. There is smtg major with the engine, that will require me to yank it out. I asked earlier about a NON-LS swap and found thats really the way to go because of available parts. Why try too reinvent the wheel... Anyway, does anyone have an opinion on trying to fix mine first vs just swapping. A swap is going to set me back roughly 3k with the swap kit, a mostly rebuilt LS1 and the things i can do myself that i don't need to pay for. And i have no idea what the average teardown and fix is on the 8v i have now. i also have a 16v laying around, but same thing, ill have to dive into it also, if they cost 3k to rebuild, then whats the point. What do most do in this situation?
Thank you
David
