Default Back pain

I'm having back pain from sitting here for 3 hours trying to get this door handle ball/socket re-attached... I'm thinking it may be easier to get a hole saw and cut through the door and then attach the joint then repaint the door... 😂

I had the same problem with that, and it is a pain in the butt. What I eventually did was to take a long flat head screwdriver and gently push the ball onto the socket and hold it snug. Then I took a small hammer and just tapped the end of the screwdriver a few times until it popped in. I have had to remove the other handle, and this worked as well, so I know it wasn’t just lucky that one time. Good luck, this is very annoying.

Thanks. I found one trick that helped me. It seemed the latch ball was too high to get the socket attached so I took door panel off and got a screwdriver and wedged it in to force the latch ball to its down position. This helped me get them aligned much easier.
