Post wheels and tires that fit???

ok guys i can get a set of 996 rims and tires for 500.00$ they look awsome but i dont know if they will fit. the P\Ns are 993-362-134-06 (7.5 18) and P\Ns 993-362-140-04 (10 18). the tires are 225 frt and 265 rear...does anybody know if these will work? I sure hope so, they are meaty as hell looking and would change the whole look of my already beautifull bright red 87 944na. thanks for your help!!

I have boxster take off 17" on my 89 S2. I have 255s in the rear, and they rubbed the left quarter panel under hard acceleration & cornering. I just put in Koni Sports, but have the 16's on now so I cant tell you if the konis fixed the problem.

I think the safest is 245 rear. also there are recommendations against 18" rims from a lot of places. You have to make sure the offset is correct. I know the boxster offset is ok. check what the offset is. i will try to confirm what my offset is on the boxster rims.

Those part numbers are for the 18" solid spoke turbo look option code M413 wheels from the 996. They are 7.5x18, ET50 and 10x18, ET65. I have the hollow spoke versions on my S2 and you can see what they look like on my web site.

At the price you are paying those are probably worth buying... but be aware that they are very heavy and you will really feel the difference in reduced acceleration, bad ride, and worse handling if your suspension can't cope with the extra weight.

Personally... I would avoid them like the plague... but the price is certainly cheap enough to try I guess.

As far as I know they will fit the '87 OK. They fit my S2 just fine with the suspension lowered quite a bit... although I do have fairly stiff springs and adequate damping to control everything.

Good luck.
