Lane,
This has come up before. Try search function. BTW when I changed mine, the wires were all attached by way of a big circular black connector. Did that burst apart and release all the wires? If so they should have a memory and you may be able to reconstruct the original configuration.

I may have that section of a wiring harness out in the garage, I will need to look tomorrow.

I searched for this and found others looking for answers, but none were given. The back piece up plastic came off releasing all the wires and I have no idea where they go.

Alright I just ran out to the garage and took some shots for you.
I hope that they help/work for what you need.

Thanks Lizard, That should help me a ton.

What a change! This happened to me 13 years ago (pre Rennlist) and the only advise I received from the PCA was "buy the workshop manual". It cost $425 and a lot of time to sort out the wiring. This makes the Rennlist membership the best bargain around.

BTW - the wires that are the same colors are the same thing - the relative positions between these doesn't matter. They all connect together in the switch anyway.

This may help too https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...eferrerid=6055

For more detail: Terminal ID's should be marked on connector/switch body

Terminal 30 - 2(/3) x Reds are battery in (2 heavy duty(/1 thin))
Terminal 15 - 2 x Blacks are Ignition out (2 medium)
Terminal 50 - 1 x Yellow is Starter(relay) (thin)
Terminal X - 2 x Black/Yellows are Accessories (1 heavy & 1 med)
Terminal R - 1 x Red/Black is Radio Supply (medium)
Terminal P - Grey is Switch Off(0) Parking (thin-med)
Terminal 1 - Black/Red is key-in switch output (2 thin wires)
Terminal 2 - Red/Black(thin) is power in to key-in switch (thin)

Man, not sure if i want to do this now......electrical is not my bag. How do the wires fall off of that?

Lizard928 11-20-2007 11:49 AM

Perry if you look at pic 1 you can see that there is a cover on the back, it is held on by 3 clips. He managed to pop that cover off the back, then they fell out.

laneskelton 11-20-2007 03:21 PM

I got all the wires back where they belong, so now I'm just waiting for my new switch, and hopefully everything will go back together without anymore hitches. This website saves the day once again. Thanks again Lizard931
