We haven't heard from him for about 20 mins. Someone better check to see if he or the dog are still alive.

Official time will be 2:00 to 10:30. Then minus the doggie runs and the trip to Lowes, about an hour... so 7.5 hours to change motor mounts Mr. Owl......

Does the car feel different. Why, Yes it does. I still have very very slight vib between 4-5000 rpm but it goes away at 5 and it is VERY slight. Was it worth it, Yes, the over all vibration damening is huge

Notes:
The air impact saved a good hour.
I had to mod the mounts ever so slightly to get the "hook" thingys to sit flush on the mount
I really took my time. this was not a rush job
I am very dirty right now
My hands are sore
My fingers are sore
My neck is sore
How hard is this job from 1-10, about a 4. Its just a PITA

You could do this job with no air tools.. But i would not suggest it unless you have the stamina of a 24 year old.

I guess you had no reason to do the pan gasket even though the pan is exposed. That adds a few hours to the usual job. I did my PG and MMs w/o power tools, and I did have to stop a few times and rest my arms. Anyway, congrats on a speedy completion. Agreed it is not hard, just nasty, especially on your back with the car only 14 inches above you.

If you taper the horizontal bolts that locate the cross-member you shouldn't have any problems reffitting it.

The reason I measured the time taken to do this job in evenings rather than hours is because I don't have air tools.

this thought crossed my mind. but I didnt have a grinder... I guess i could have used my dremel.. this is a good tip... those bolts were the worst part of the whole job
