I watch a lot of National Geographic and Discovery Channel, but I don't remember seeing anything about a "Pansy Shark", but apparantly BMW has built one......
I'd still put our Makos or Great Whites up against the Pansy Shark any time....

The BMW 6 series was also called "Shark" and it was in production prior to the 928. We have no exclusive claim on the nickname.

Anyone here here had a 6 series? Theres one fairly near by to me for sale for £250 that looks in pretty bad condition, but i thought about getting it as a project - then i realised i've already got a project car Saw a few at a car show a few weeks ago: the M635CSi was supposed to be a direct competitor to the 928 so i just wondered how it measured up.

Coming up to the door and saying "Landshark" is an old John Belushi skit from early Saturday Night Live episodes.
John's in a shark suit and stalking people if I remember right.

The z-4 2.5 liter is a bad joke even the 3.0 with 225 HP 214 torque in a 2900 lb car is pretty iffy for a $40,000 ride .....My old brown very brown 1980 928 weighs 3000 lbs makes about 220 hp and 225 ft lbs torque perhaps I should go try to embarrass a 3.0 Z-4 ..........here "sharky , sharky"..here "sharky, sharky "................ most sharks are cannibilistic

Looks like it was Dan Akroyd.... maybe Belushi was the shark voice? Not sure...
Landshark: Knocks on door
Lady: " Who is it?"
Landshark: "Plumber."
Lady: I didn't hire a plumber. Who is it!?"
Landshark: "Flowers."
Lady: "What... for who"
Landshark: "Plumber"
Lady:"... you're.. that crazy shark aren't you?''
Landshark: " No maam, I am just a dolphin.. will you let me in please?"
Lady: "A dolphin! Ok!"

Hey I'm biaised for the 928 too, but with all due respect, the 6 series was the first shark, AND looks more like a mean shark than the 928, which looks like a mellow shark only from the front, and more like a cow in the back, unlike the old 6-series, which resembles a shark from every angle
