Are these club sport wheels, and what do you all think about running staggered wheels
Good morning and I hope everybody's having a good week. I have a set of regular OEM wheels for this 1984 that I'm trying to get sorted out, but she also has a set of what I believe Club sport wheels. The Club sport wheels have a staggered tire size with 245s in the back. It certainly gives the car a nice stance but I wanted to ask about how they drive with a staggered wheel size and if that's a recommended set up.
My intention is to use the car for fast road touring's, so another words as a GT that she was designed to be, rather than track or autocross.
Thank you in advance for the help!

Yes, these are CS rims.
Please have a look at the references of your rims, inside.
They are many versions:
- 7X16, without RDK (944 Turbo S, front)
- 8X16 with or without RDK (928 CS/SE and 1989 GT, front), with 225/50 16 tires.
- 9X16 with or without RDK (944 Turbo S, 928 CS/SE and 1989 GT, rear), with 245/45 16 tires.

I use staggered sizes on all of my Porsches except the 356C's. I like 7.5 in front with 55 to 65 offset, and 9 in the rear with about 47 to 52 offset. In the 16 inch wheels I am looking for some 7s and 8s with 65 and 52 offsets, respectively, for my 82. The 65 offsets for the front are very hard to find. With staggered sizes and different offsets, front to rear, you can't rotate the tires like you might otherwise want to do.

Staggered wheels,... Yes Virginia, there is a handling difference.
wider rears increase the grip at the back end, but also cause a "push" in the front while cornering.

When you are done holding the car up with them and ready to go back to the 7s all around, just have the tires removed before you mail the wheels - - the shipping will be less without the tires. Thanks, in advance.
