Sorry about that, Jerry. Correct ZIP code is 29702. I had been up for over 24 hours, with only a 3 hour nap prior to that. I was getting a bit loopy, and fat fingered the ZIP.

I have read about the VW relay, but had not given it any thought. Yet. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi GP - do you have a photo of that part? It is not shown on the diagram but listed as a part. Did not have that on my old cowl cover or the new I bought.

Don't I know it. I keep a running shopping list, and order monthly.
Using a jumper cable between the starter cable and the two input cables to the CE panel, I was able to put power on the Red Witch. The starter and 14-pin harness are currently out of the car.
Before I turned the key, I DID remove relay 20, the fuel pump relay. Nothing like a solid stream of fuel shooting out of the passenger's side of the engine compartment.
With a flick of the stalk, the wiper motor ran smoothly, and the arms moved with no issue. I watched the posts turn back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...
I did notice a party foul. Where I swapped the arms to put the capped bushing on top of the motor arm, was wrong. Now that interferes with the cowl cover.
I will swap that back at some point.
On a whim, I decided to install the VW programmable delay relay for the wipers. Refer to this thread:
I ordered the relay from Roger, and this is what I received:
Original relay on the left, VW relay on the right.
KAE 3.200.110 delay relay.
Original relay on the left, VW relay on the right.
New relay was plug-n-play with the original relay. With the stalk in the 'Delay' position, the wipers cycled once every 6 seconds. Sweet!
I tried to adjust the delay time, but couldn't get it to change. Honestly, I didn't mess with that for very long. I will go back over the above thread and pay closer attention.
I did the relay swap because the original delay did not work for the wipers. I suspected the delay wheel, but never investigated the potentiometer. So, no need now.
