right off the bat your front knock sensor is knackered same will go for the hall CPS and rear knock sensors.
So yes its time to do an intake refresh budget 6K for parts and incidentals and you turn the wrenches.

its real easy to remove the CPS with the intake manifold and fuel damper and FPR out of the way.

havent done the CPS yet but did get to check the fuel pressure - was getting 3-3.5bar with pump running (relay bridge) so seems ok
squirting carb cleaner into intake did give uptick in revs and i was able to keep it idleing with squirts but soon as i stopped it dies shortly after ...... just a small update as didn;t have much time to look any further yet :-(

The first two things I'd suspect from your description are a vacuum leak and a bad Temp 2.

If you can get it running, put a gauge (or a MityVac) on it and get a vacuum reading. If not, a smoke tester (or even a cigar).

Since it's doing it cold, you can simply put a meter on the Temp 2 and see what resistance it shows. I don't know the correct value off the top of my head, but its out there somewhere.

Borrow a known-good LH controller and try again. Having the old controller tested by John last year would tell me that the controller was good last year. Car ran fine then too. Now the car doesn't run so well, and your symptoms point towards a failing LH controller.

Just a thought...

This--^

All 2.3 LH ECUs will fail. Some tests are better or worse than others and LHs that are good today can fail tomorrow.

Failed LH most likely. They will all fail. Need hybrid chip replaced, then good to go! Send to John Speake for a rebuild/exchange after verifying with a known good one. BTW, they go intermittent, will run fine for hundreds of miles, then, no power.
