Fellows/Fellas,
Oh, I get it...he's probably putting it up "for sale" to appease his non-928 approving spouse. At $17,500, he's guaranteed NOT to move it. Heck, I'd consider giving him $5k for it if he's serious about selling...
Best,
TUK

Is tha car a Euro model? I noticed it has the marker light towards the rear of the fender, and that tow hitch looks like the style I saw on many cars when I was in Germany in August. That still doesn't make it worth that much.

If it's an 80, thats almost certanly a Euro of some sort.
It's got the K-jetronic MFI, see the warm up bypass and the WUR in the engine photo?
However, it looks like somebody tryed hard to Federalize it, extra markers, the US headlights.
Could be a 1980 928 non S Euro...

Well.. If that 928 hasn't been driven more than 2500 km's it might be worth it to someone.

Very odd car...could be an 84....has the old style clock and interior without the air sensor thingy on the console which I thought ended in 82?.... Has the old style steering wheel, and a different center arm rest/storage area...and it appears to have 944 seats too...
The side markers. and the engine with twin dizzys..makes it 84 and up and a Euro...
Looks like some sort of custom plate with switches made to replace the area with the AC button and the "!" indicator light. And those things beside the round clock look like speakers to me..????
Someone has been inside this car with a vengance.....

What twin dizzys?
I see a single distributer, a air aux. by pass, and the outline of a WUR. I do not see a fuel pressure dampaner. That makes this car a K-jet, not an L or LH jet. Combined with the side markers, it's an 80-83 Euro of some sort. There were two choices, S, or non S, 300 hp, or 229 hp, flip a coin I guess.

I think those little things on each side of the clock, are speakers...
Probably for better "stereo" in the front seats.
I noticed he also has a pretty large speaker box in the back as well.
Kind of a cool "removable" setup, if you want large speakers,
but do not want to hack up your interior...

Hmm..must be the power of suggestions..I was thinking 84 Euro..and the pic is kinda dark...so maybe not....I now see it is listed as an 80.
but I thought there would be the obvious fuel lines of the CIS ...along the runners to make this a K jet.....Could this be a US L jet replacement engine??

I just went to the other thread...80 Euro engine for sale..opened up a window and then did the same with a supersize of the engine in this "80"....
some similarities..but still don't see the fuel lines..and the intake runners definitely look different...smaller....
Was the intake on the Euro S (4.7 liter) different from the Euro (4.5 liter)???
Interesting..
