How long ago, Sterling? You're right that everything else is available but the spring has been gone for at least 2 years. Just don't want BC to buy the other bits and then get stuck.

Thanks guys. I have to find a pic of the hinge, and how it's different then the s4 and before. I think it needs a stepped inside layer added for where the door would rest so it would not push through.

After all that work, might of been better to just go with metal flares. The gas cap is the biggest challenge for sure

I'm not the hugest fan. The fiberglass flares offset the look for me, personally. This is for the buyer of the car.

I'm sure there are. But it needs to get done and its not
happening anywhere else. If anyone here spoke much English or were the more uptight angry white people I have seen in other neighborhoods I may have had an issue. But it's quiet, no wave, no talk Vietnamese and Chinese. One car guy down the block who comes and chats and a couple letters every few years about non working cars in the driveway. Everything gets struck down every night and the cars go under a cover.

With the fact that it's all cleaned up every day by sundown I'm not going to take much **** from anyone. Because this is still America and I'm going to work on my car in my driveway.

Our HOA prohibits working on stuff outside. Thay also prohibit having the garage door open unless you are actively working in the garage and need it open, then they prohibit working in the garage with the door open. Good Thing my garage doors don't face the street... I clear the snow from the street and the immediate neighbors' driveways, so there's absolutely no local noise. A new neighbor further down the street received a notice from the HOA "management" company about the garage door issue as he was moving in. He sent a polite letter back, and received a fine notice in return. It only took a year to can that management company, but we did it. New board and management group has been "briefed" on these critical issues and has chosen to be a lot more reasonable.

Good luck with yours BC!

If someone has a loose GTS door spring sample, there's a small spring company near you guys in SoCal that's made formed wire parts for me in the past (1990's) in "hundreds" quantities for very reasonable costs. A sample or a drawing is needed. Find "Orlando Spring" in La Mirada or Sante Fe Springs area IIRC, if they are still alive. There are more around there I'm sure. Otherwise you can buy the correct wire and wind/bend your own pieces, as I was doing before needing hundreds made.

It was a long time ago... but the assembly has almost always been NLA.... the individual parts were a pain to assemble the 1st time.

How did you resolve the misaligned fender issue? Was it the same on both sides?

It worked out. Some trim here, some repositioning there, and its even both sides.
