Default odometer reset

Hello to all. I have a 1981 euro model and I just replaced the odometer gear that is a common issue. My question is where is the reset switch located on this car. The dash is missing some parts under the steering wheel but there are a couple push button switches that are broken. Thanks if anyone has the answer.

On my 81 it is the bottom left button switch - has a funky square symbol on it. The switch activates a solenoid in the odometer reset mechanism.

You can see it in the interior photo of this '82: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=68970

That info would be in the Owner's Manual for your car. If you don't have a copy see the FAQ sticky for links to digital versions.

On a Euro, it is under the dash/steering column, left side, next to the dash light rheostat wheel.

The rear fog light.

US cars still have the plug, it's just stuffed into the dash. Out of sight, out of mind...

thanks, had already discovered that my '85 zzz vin us car had hidden wiring, now I know why, and have some ideas for how to make a 007 type device, or at least a stealth switch for the bleach squirter to the rears, so I can make white tire smoke like the SC cars.

The solenoid is pretty violent, I try and avoid using it to prevent other faults being created in the pod.
