Default Poll: Old Body Vs. New Body 928

I'm curious to see how many 928 people are fans of the old body cars through 1986, and how many prefer the restyled 87-95 cars. I purposely avoided the "I like both equally" button....

If this poll has been done before, I searched and couldn't find it.

OB is "old bugger" and is '78 and '79 cars, only. Those are in a class by themselves.

Now that I've fulfilled part of my life's purpose let me say:

The S4 wing is terrible.

Huh..never knew that! I just assumed "old body" and "new body." You learn something new every day...

I like the NB more.

Although I did like the earlier models, I really fell in love with the 928 when the S4 came out in 1987.

From there I was sold to the 928 for ever...

BTW, I don't have any problem with the S4/GTS wing.
It fits the car very well IMOO.

Prefer the early car shape. Some say "The early car is like a shark but the later car is like a whale"

I actually prefer the S body style to all of them. The rubber spoiler IMO is the best of the rear end treatments.

The rounded nose on the later ones makes them just a little bit butter faced compared to the early ones. Still better looking than 99.99% of cars on the road, though.

the older cars with the blocky fog lights and the recessed taillights just looks unfinished.

S4 or newer.

S body, with chin, but rear spoiler delete to achieve clean OB rear end look. That's may favorite.
I didn't mind the look of the S3 spoiler, but the rubber degrades and it's just a struggle to maintain.

I was lucky to find a factory spoiler delete off Landseer, to achieve my goal.

Take an S4, remove the wing and other appurtenances, and that's what I think would be the best sculpture. The function and/or attitude provided by the appurtenances have a different appeal; as much as I dislike rub strips, for example, I don't like door dings, either - especially when they're my fault.

I like the clean front spoiler-less look of the '78-'82 OB's but with the S spoiler in the back. I like the OB shark like nose but the wider *** look of the S4 rear. I really like how the rear bumper cover of the '87-'95 gives the rear end more length to balance the long nose of the car. I think the OB rear end looks kind of short and dumpy to be honest, especially the rear lens'. The 928 to me, really looks like a big Hot Wheel, not that that is a bad thing. I like Hot Wheels. Does any of this make sense? Overall, I love all 928's of any year. I own two OB's and two S4's.

When I had my first 80 Euro S, I so wanted a NB. Now that I have a NB, I so want a Non spoiler OB.
