Hello again. I have some corroded fuses on my 79 928, and thinking of replacing them with these newer glass ones on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/p/?iid=14234403...pp=true&chn=ps

Roger has the correct ceramic fuses for the OBs. They are pretty inexpensive. Use the correct ones I would recommend.

Glass fuses are perfectly fine to use. For me, the drawback is I have a hard time reading the amp ratings and seeing the filament without a magnifying glass. Also, pay attention to that ebay listing, it mentions ceramic and glass. I've seen a lot of listings that manage to mention glass fuses but are selling plastic fuses.

Aren't they color coded by amperage? I.e. Red = 5 amps, Blue = 10 amps, etc (those are just examples....not saying that is actually the mapping)

Biggest problem with these is the clips they seat into lose their tension and become a resistance source. I burnt out 2 fuel pump relays before I found poor contact at the fuse - highly recommend treating with contact cleaner or similar.
