Default Plastic (?) underbody shields under motor on 85 928S

Hi all,

i think im missing an underbody stone shield or two under the front of my car. It's an 85 928S. Anyone know the part names/part numbers? I'm having a problem even searching for them. Thanks!

There is only one metal (aluminum) shield that I know of, it goes under the radiator and stops just in front of the oil pan, helps w/ air flow and protects the belts from gathering up road trash.

FYI., they are hard to find especially in good shape.

My early '86 has the shield davek9 describes above. While mine is bent around it's still in fine shape and does it's job. The only thing with mine is occasionally it gets a little close to the AC compressor so I hear a little noise every now and then...the shield can be pulled a little by hand downward .

It's held on with speed nuts...so you do have to be careful during re-assembly...they wear out depending on how often the shield is removed thus need replacing periodically.

I believe 928 Motorsports still offer an aluminum belly pan( under the motor) for around $350

I've never seen anything other than what you've described either.

That is for an S4, the S3 and earlier 16v does not have an under Engine belly pan.
