Great find, look forward to many pics of the restoration! Interior looks a lot like 'Mahogony brown' from the late 80s, have you located the code to verify what it is?

No we haven't. Where would we find the code?

The previous owner is a very knowledgable 928 person. I'm sure a quick call will clear it up. I spoke to him just yesterday. Sad to see him exiting the "928 life" but he'll always be a GREAT friend!

Congrats Kev's COA lists exterior and interior colors, options, etc., and would be a nice addition to this special GT. Super rare and cool color combo...subscribed. T https://www.pca.org/resource/porsche...e-authenticity

Thought I would provide an update and some pics on the GT. Have been making progress as we extracted the engine from the S4 and started disassembly so we could get the GT engine back together. The GT heads had been reconditioned and stored and are in excellent condition. Have installed the heads and cams, new IWIS racing chains and tensioner pads. Also got timing gears installed along with the rest of the front of the engine.

Right now am awaiting completion of powder coating on the manifold and cam covers and once I have those back will clean well and install. My hopes are to have her running and ready to head to 3rd Coast in November. Might not have body work complete but mechanically should be sound.

Also, have a torque tube with Constantine Super Bearing (Thanks Kevin_in_Atlanta!) and Hans new shifter to install when the time comes. Will be turning attention to the interior while I wait on the powder coated parts.

Latest picture of the GT engine almost ready to drop in. It now has ceramic coated manifolds.

There has been quite a bit of work done since my last post in August. As Kevin_in_Atlanta posted, the engine is about ready to install.

1.Have also installed stainless steel brake lines, had brake booster and master cylinder refurbished by White Post and bled system. New cross drilled rotors and pads.
2.New clutch master and slave with Greg Brown line.
3.Repacked CV joints with new boots.
4.Dropped the gas tank, removed the non-op internal pump and replaced with a strainer and the Bosch 044 external pump. All new rubber lines at the tank.
5.New suspension, Bilsteins and Eibachs springs.
6.New AC compressor with rebuilt barrier hoses.
Rebuilt oil line cooler lines.
7. New hood and hatch struts
8. Greg Brown fuel lines
9. New Ford 4 hole injectors
10. Hans shifter
11. Torque tube with Constantine bearings

Here are a few pics of the activities. Outside chance she will be at SITM otherwise it's the GTS.

Hey Kev, Things are looking pretty good. Nice progress being made.

Mark,
its silver with a black vein. Here is a little closer picture. I think it goes well with the slate grey metallic exterior.
