Is this the kind of cloth that you are looking for?

No, that's black / beige (tan). I need black/brown.

I could not live without mirrors on both sides! Nice looking car, good luck and happy miles.

Finally got rid of the gold on the rims!
Fresh powdercoating & rubber, and an opportunity to scrub off some of the dirt on the suspension.

These were extremely cheap & easy to replace. There's no excuse for anyone to have worn-looking window switches.

Also got the car out of the driveway for the first time since the rims & tires were back on. I'm extremely happy with the way the Goodyears feel, and absolutely love the silver!

Since I had to take the passenger door panel off, I thought I'd take the opportunity to replace the front speakers with something a little better. (I'll get to the back ones later.)
Does anyone have any experience doing this, and if so, what worked best?

I replaced my front door speakers some time ago and had an issue, but your doors may be different. I fitted new Sony Xplod units of same diameter, but current depths make it difficult. Initially I thoight all was OK, than I had a couple of instances of loss of power at the HU. Eventually isolated it to the left door speaker shorting on the door skin - the HU (JVC) turns off when it detects a short apparently. A bit of panel beating fixed it. Never had an issue with the right door. So, do some checking of the connecting pins on the door before you button it up. No issues with same size units in the back, but have fun with removing the quarter panels.

Looking great Ben! As to the shallow front door speakers, I bought a set off Hans. Not sure if he still sells them, but he can spec them for you.

Look at my great white thread....near the last couple of pages. I replaced my fronts with some off the shelf...made a bracket for them to fit in, but it probably wasn’t necessary. They fit like a glove.

We're finally making some progress here. Minimal body work necessary. Doors and fenders come off next for primer and then... paint!

Did you fill the holes in the hatch, or are you going to live with the plastic plugs?

Filled, of course. We're doing this the right way.
The body is slick & straight as an arrow now!
