I don't know why we're fooling around with these toys when we can get the real thing here, slightly used, for just $130:

Coincidentally, in this month's AOPA Pilot magazine there's an article on borescopes. Their aviation application is the same as ours. The author speaks highly of the ViVidia Ablescope VA-400 USB and the pictures in the article look better than the cheap one I currently have. It's a little further up the scale price-wise at about $200, but is probably worth considering. I may pick one up myself.

I hope you wiped it down before you used it.
Hacker sent me some pics from his scope. I told him TMI, bro.

For iOS and Mac users...
Don't know if I want to follow the above entry...
For iOS and Mac users here is a Wifi endoscope for about 20 bucks. I use Android and have purchased several "inexpensive" scopes--they work great for the intended purpose, though I have not tried this particular endoscope.
I have ordered several products through Tmart with good results.

As Jim stated in an above post, Google Play store has several endoscope apps that work great. Don't use the supplied programs that are included on mini CDs or are downloaded through the seller. Don't know if the Apple store has similar apps.
