That is a great deal but most do not want polished just the original finish.

Those would look great on my recent 89 5-speed. I made him an offer, but have no idea if it went thru.

The correct 928 set sports 8" fronts, not 7's ..... still, will work well.

He raised the price from $1500 to $2000. I had just before withdrawn my offer since, although he had responded and even said he would meet me halfway, he never actually said he would accept my offer. Then he went silent. I don't know if they are chromed or polished; and the tires aren't much - - Sumitmos, or something. He even gave my a phone number, but he couldn't be reached on it.

Doesn't sound like the kind of guy I would do business with.

Stop dicking people around... Say your price, stick to it and honor people who come first.

Honestly, you need to hold out for a set of 4 9" Club Sports. Had those and 89gt coilovers with Louie Ott adjustable sway bar drop links on my 86.5 and it handled like it was on rails.

Sometimes I am kind of dense. What I had taken as an offer to meet me half way in regard to delivery of the wheels, must have actually been a counter offer to what I had offered him for the wheels. I kind of wondered how he knew where I was and was a bit surprised that he would be willing to drive 400 miles or so just to close a deal and "get the wheels out of my garage." I usually expect that kind of counter offer to sound more like "split the difference."

Nevertheless, I have to wonder about him raising the price. What's up with that?
