And on the topic of posting in other people's threads, Mr. Roger could you please stop bashing on the 928 manual transmissions in the BringATrailer.com auctions...
The past couple of 928's that were sold, you had quite a loud negative opinion about the manuals, which isnt helping anyone, my friend. Your positive opinions are greatly appreciated and valued in this community, otherwise you are clearly forcing your negativity on some folk that are new to the 928 market and 'pre judging' their opinions of these wonderful automobiles. Be it auto or manual.
I know youre trying to promote your "RogerBox" gearbox, but I don't quite believe that's the correct way to win customers for the long term...
Carl, great product, I will contact you later this month for replacement boots and other parts.

I now have stock on replacement ball joint boots for your upper ball joints. This replaces those ball joints with the green and red spring clamps, as shown.
If the ball joint boot is cracked, dirt and water can get inside the joint and ruin it. If that has already happened, we have rebuilt upper A-Arms available as well as rebuild kits to rebuild your own early upper ball joint.

That clear plastic collar is a "compression spacer" provided in the kit from the manufacturer.
The idea is to prevent the boot from getting collapsed completely flat, you would slide it over your pintle before installing the boot.
It is of questionable use to me, it is the taper in the spindle and the taper of the pintle that control how far the pintle ultimately will go into the spindle, and that little piece of clear plastic isn't going to prevent anything. I'd leave it out.
If your ball joint is drawn up so far into the spindle that the boot is completely flattened, you have other problems!
As that ball joint boot also fits other Porsche models, perhaps that clear plastic collar is meant from them, but not for the 928, IMO.
