Shocks like oil are about personal taste.
I have had all three on various cars plus the Boge reds on my SE.
My GTS with Eibach's and Bilsteins was harsh with only a marginal increase in performance.
Koni on stock springs on the softest setting felt no different to stock Boges.
Best for me is stock Boge on stock springs.
My SE with Red Boge and stock rear springs and CS front springs handles very good with no harshness of ride quality.

As I say everyone has an opinion 8>)

No Randy, my 87 had stock shocks and springs. It rode very well, but didn't handle like the 89 car.

These have been sold to a fellow 928 OC member in Canada. Thanks Adam.

I've never had Bilsteins on my 928's, only Konis wiith Eibachs (or stock with many miles!!). I've ridden in a friends GT with stock springs and Bilsteins. He and I both thought it was way too harsh. He replaced them with Konis and we both liked that ride/handling combination. I've always set my Konis at about 1/3 of the way from soft to firm. That was a comfortable ride and good handling in my opinion.

One exception - my track car, where I had externally adjustable Konis with Eibachs. I'd set the Konis at about 1/4 to firm for driving to/from the tracks, and full firm for having fun ON the tracks.

What do Boge shocks and Eibachs feel like? I mulled this setup before. If I can get the threaded collars off easily, I may do that. I just have to find some Eibach springs.

i have the Bilstein/Eibach. depending on the roads in your area it will be fine. It is a harsh ride I think. Do i wish it was a bit softer??...yeah...but..when i turn in on my "on ramps" the car really digs in , plants well and feels solid.

I'd lean to the softer ride if i were to do it again. I may "spring" for a set of Koni's here at some point.
