Default Article on how they picked the 928 for Risky Business

got to laugh.....

"Jon Avnet recognized that this movie was going to be big for Porsche, that this was going to be a big giant Porsche commercial. So he approached them and asked, Could you at least give us some cars?" Johnsen claims. "But they said, 'No way, we don't want anything to do with a movie about a prostitute.'"

It's actually kind of cool to learn that Porsche had no official involvement and the movie people just went ahead and did what they wanted. The idea of a big Coke commercial as a movie is pretty disgusting so I'm glad it wasn't anything like that. Not a great movie in any case but at least it was an honest piece of work and not a big advertisement.

Given the 928 values we're seeing lately, I had to laugh at the conclusion which said "don't pay $40,000 for yours." Ha! How about $100,000?

Thats cool stuff to read about. Feel like I need to watch a movie and see if I can count the cars.
