Thumbs up The Shark gets some respect!

As I was visiting friends here in the DC Suburbs early this evening, one of my gearhead buddies in from Nevada asked me if I saw the "..928 on display in the lobby across the street".
Huh??
He said "Yea, there's a sweet silver 928 on display in the lobby of the new office building across the street. It has a plaque detailing its specs and everything."
Lori, who lives in this Park Potomac neighborhood said "That's the developer's office. He's been rounding up nice examples of his favorite classic cars and asking their owners if they'd mind him putting them on display for a month or two. Cars that he considers art. There was a neat old Corvette in there a few months ago."
The developer is my business partner's brother in law. He and Bill Marriott are close and they share a passion for contemporary and classic exotics.
As anti-social as it was, I had to break from the group to run down there to see it.
I'm pretty sure I know whose car this is, and I'm waiting to hear back from him to confirm...
There aren't a hell of a lot of Silver '88 manuals around here (I certainly know of one )

So sitting in the lobby of a commercial high rise on some of the priciest ground in the DC Suburbs, sits a 928, presented like a museum piece.
How cool is that?

Seems it would have been presented better if the nose was facing the street.

Maybe... but how many times have you taken a little extra time to see what's in front...

Personally the rear end of these machines is second to none, a work of art.

I'm in the area...going to drop by. This is the highest public praise for the 928 that I am aware of. Porsche Parade, car shows, etc. don't count because mostly those awards occur within the Porsche or automotive enthusiast parallel universe. This is in the public universe...displayed as art. Fantastic.
