Well, I actually negotiated 3 sets of wheels with the car purchase along with some other odds and ends. The owner put the phone dials on in place of the man holes . He also bought some Fuchs replicas, which can be seen in the link I posted earlier in the thread.

The previous owner is a contractor with DOD and was actually over seas when we made the deal. A BMW guy that wanted to give the 928 a go, and was trying out different wheel looks, but decided he would rather stick with the BMW's. Lucky Me!

The Fuchs are a little too large on the front, so I'll sell them or trade them something that will fit. I will probably do the same with the phone dials.

The day has arrived and it's already looking to be an interesting trip. Supposed to fly from Richmond to Charlotte to Austin leaving at 12:40 and arriving at 5:00. Flight was delayed to Richmond, so the last flight to Austin from Charlotte was the one we did not make. Been in the airport all day and should arrive via the Windy City at 11:00 tonight.

Mark says the car is ready with the exception of it starting and dying and running rich. He is going out later on this afternoon with some spares parts and such to try and sort it before my arrival. Official pickup is on Monday, so hopefully the gremlin can be found.

Congrats! It looks great, and the intake is a nice touch...

What is the size and offset for the Fuchs wheel?

Sorry to hear about your flight delays. My suggestion for Bar-b-Que is Coopers at 217 congress ave. Almost as good as Franklin's without the line and much closer and better in my opinion than salt lick. I am always up to go somewhere good to eat, so if you are interested in meeting up while you are in Austin, I can bring my 88 S4. Email me at cozendrh@yahoo.com

I'm about an hour from Austin this weekend at our place in the country, so PM me if there's anyone getting together in Austin tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Part of Mark Robinsons work was a Turbo install.

Well, just got to the hotel 1:28 AM. exhausted. Picking up the rental truck and car hauler tomorrow. My pickup date with Mark was the 20th. Thought we would a couple days checking the sites out. I'm open to meeting up with anyone in the area for some BBQ. The only issue I'll have with meeting will be the parking for the rental truck and carhauler at any eating establishment.

Thanks. The Fuchs were too big on Marks test fit, just not enough room in the front for the 19's for me. I'll probably sell them or trade them for some wheels that will work.

When you get a chance, would love to see some more pictures of that Turbo install. I have an 85 similar to yours and I'm curious as to what kind of power that set up is putting down?

This is so exciting Charles! I'm so happy for you, and I hope you and your wife have a great adventure together.

Did I mention I love your 928? Pearl white over gray/green 5 speed... doesn't get better than that!
Also, if that's factory pearl... that'd have to be the earliest one and the only early body style I've seen.

Thanks Jim!, Someone on this twip is a widdle gwumpy, I'm hoping after a nap, and a snack (probably a Filet , as this princess won't tolerate animal crackers) her mood will change. She is a Michigan girl, Any tips?

I'm sorry you no longer around Richmond . Pretty droll down here with you and Chris gone. I guess I'm going to have to step up to keep RVA the 928 Mecca it is Hope you and yours are doing well back home.
