Best way to remove mildew/mold from interior surfaces
 

What products do you guys use?

The Leatherique guy here in Ontario recommended I use Pinesol cleaner. I used the citrus flavor, diluted (but can't remember the ratio) with water. This was aimed at cleaning and killing the spotty whitish mildew that was on my leather seats. I used it generously, being sure to get into the perforations and seams, scrubbed with a toothbrush, then wiped all off. Rinsed with wet rag again, then dried with a towel and let finish drying in the sun.
With the Leatherique applied, and car stored in a dry garage, no more mildew, and the stains are gone.

Mild solution of chlorine bleach in warm water. Wipe it down, let dry, then wipe it down again. Fresh dry air circulation. If you can get one of those small carpet brush tools use some bleach in that to do the carpet(unless you replace it). You'll need to wipe all surfaces to get it right. Lot of hand work involved.

+1 And for household mold remediation the rec is 1 part household laundry bleach to 10 parts water, IIRC. Thoroughly dry, and thoroughly vacuum the carpets (I would also do the standard "test the solution somewhere that is not readily visible" just to be sure). I'm not recommending it, but I can guarantee the 409/Fantastic family of cleaners cleans stubborn mold readily.

Having spent over 20 years in the commercial and institutional cleaning and restoration industry distribution channel, I have found either Benefect or Concrobium to be the best mold remediation products. After a flood most insurance companies up here in Canada require either of these 2 products to kill and deter mold growth.

Concrobium can be had at Home depot and is used under another name in the Boating world.
