Default GTS Pollen Filter

If you have a 94/95 GTS be sure to check the pollen filter. My 95 had a lack of airflow through the vents.
As you can see the filter was totally clogged and even with the filter in place there was a small rats nest of crap in front of the evaporator.
Vacuum and new filter restored the service back to normal.
I am pretty sure that is the original filter from the factory 22 years ago.

At least the filter did a nice job of keeping the evaporator fins clean.

I agree Rob.
The rats nest, I believe, was caught up on the filter and dropped when I removed it.

^^ Remove the plenum cover, and you'll see the HVAC box centrally, with a cover which is secured in place by one small torx screw. You can see where it screws into in Rogers last photo (blurry speed nut). Remove the torx screw and then pull the cover to the front of the car to remove it. The cover has two holes in it (one either side) which are where the white locating pins, which you can see on the filter, keep the filter in place under the cover. Make sure those filter pins locate in the cover as you replace it.

I thought the pollen filter was only fitted to the superior RogerBox cars as the crapboxes did not have enough puff!!!

Rogerboxes only need the extra filtration because they suck so much.

Meh, it's not a cat fight, more like a battle of wits against an unarmed opponent. Like shooting fish in a barrel of ATF.

Tony lives downwind of a bunch of chemical and petro plants there along the gulf coast. Be glad that filter caught all that stuff! And if you happen to be walking outside, just don't inhale, mr. president.

I changed the pollen filter in the Honda DD at the end of its first (and again at second and third) year, and find it full of yellow Ponderosa Pine pollen. Really full. It may drive me to try and fit a filter to my pre-GTS car one of these days.

In Thailand we don't need pollen filter since the AC recirc has to be secured in closed position due to all smoking stinking diesel pickup trucks
