That's good feedback Gary - I did not know that. We have other options and I will explore those instead.
Again, more to follow soon on this.

Ed really does a unbelievable amount of work on the ARPCA's side of the PVGP. I seriously don't know how he does it. Since he took over as the Chairman, the Porsche Club importance to the PVGP has grown ($ and notoriety) and has grown better every year.
He deserves MANY Thanks.

Just took a look and notice that Cranberry is north of Pittsburg.
A bit closer for me...
Quaker Steak & Lube and Double Wide Grill look like real cool places.
Hope to be able to make it.
Fingers crossed.

Sure hope you can make it Bertrand!
Also, we have a wonderful country side rally/drive on the Friday afternoon of the PVGP weekend. We've been doing it for a couple of years now, and we call it the Glacier Tour, in reference to the forces that shaped the beautiful and fun to drive landscape.
Anyway, think about coming in Thursday the 13th of Jul in order to participate in the Friday tour. It leaves at lunch time from the Double Wide in Cranberry Twp (the place of the Friday night Welcome Party), and lasts about 3 hours heading North into the countryside with special tour stops and roads to, ahem, "stretch the legs a bit", if you are so inclined. We typically get a good 30 cars or so for this drive. There is a small donation to join, which goes to the PVGP charities.

What a great celebration of 40 years of the Porsche 928!
Hi Ed, just got caught up on this thread and all I can say is WOW this is going to be a stellar event! So cool the 928 marque will be featured, and thank you for the opportunity to showcase my #1 and #6 preproduction press cars.
This will be my first PVGP so I'm very excited. At this point, I can commit to having #6 there. I'm still catching up on active restorations, but will carve out time starting in May to prepare #6 for this event. I would prefer to trailer her there and drive locally, so any help you can afford with transport would be most appreciated.
Having the #1 928 there is a possibility too, but we'll have to back into that one. Having both #1 & #6 there would be AMAZING to me because it would be the first time in near 40 years they were parked next to each other. Last time would've been in Stuttgart! How cool is that?
Great to see the high-level of interest and 928s that plan to attend. Based on my count (because I've seen many of the cars that are coming), there's going to be some seriously CHOICE 928s in attendance! These beauties will make my old girls look a bit tired, but they'll be proud none-the-less.
Will do my best to check back here regularly. Ed, if you need I quicker response, you know how to reach me.
I'll start promoting this event on my 928 Classics Facebook.
Here's some backstory and pics of #1 & #6...

This is awesome Jim - thanks for committing! I will be in touch with you directly about getting #6 here too. Yes, the field is going to be very special - I am stunned about the cars that have committed to come, and really very excited! It will be one of the most memorable PVGP's for quite some time. And don't forget, there is a lot going on that weekend - not just our cars.
Keep 'em coming guys (and girls)!

Car #1 is on a mission to get to PVGP 2017 for its first public appearance in decades. Turning 40 this week has been a wake up call for it to start exercising more and taking better care of itself. 5 months of a new lifestyle will not fully erase 40 years of hard living, but it's possible to be "on the road" to a better life by then.

That's some BIG news and worthy of a press release to various car publication's. Look forward to seeing # 1 at PVGP. T

Wow, now all of the pieces have fallen into place! #1 and #6 together publically, for the first time since? Who knows. We have lined up a significant and historic collection of 928s! This one is going to be a very special gathering
This weekend, I will put the registration together for the website, so that folks can start to register and book hotels. Watch this thread for the information and updates.
