Default Air pump idler pulley replacement - No affiliation

A couple weeks back my air pump seized and broke the fan belt. I know a lot of guys run the short belt and bypass the air pump. I wanted my engine bay to have more of a stock appearance than that route but had no need to replace the air pump with another one since I use a Y-pipe.

It seems like the idler pulley that was used in place of the air pump in other markets is hard to find here in the US but I ran across one on EBAY from these guys at a decent price and picked it up. It was in very nice condition, very clean, worked perfectly and bolted in place of the stock air pump with no other changes needed.

I noticed they had another for sale at the same price. Just passing along for anyone looking.

Also, check out this thread:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-air-pump.html. Apparently, the air pump assembly is the same used in an Isuzu Trooper with the exception of the back plate which can be swapped or modified. Apparently the pump from Isuzu is very inexpensive.
