Default New guy here

Hello to all new guy here. I have been lurking around for about a week and have learned allot already. I bought a 1982 928s euro 5speed and I have started to bring it back to life. I will need your help with some things with this car its a little rough but I hope to get it in shape. I have done the timing belt, thermostat, radiator flush and oil change so far. I will post some pics soon. I need a spare tire I have managed to get the drivers side window motor to work andI'm waiting for new switches to arrive. The front wiper motor transmission gear is stripped and I haven't been able to find a gear yet. The price of a new motor is shocking. The engine runs great I hope you guys can help with some info. Cheers and happy holidays to all.

Welcome Randy-

Good time to be in need of 928 parts, 928Intl in Anaheim is having their annual half off sale on good used parts. A used '82 wiper motor is $50 with the sale:

Hey guys thanks for the welcomes. I will post pics soon. The car is white and in need of a little body work and paint, it looks like it was a gold color with a respray its a bit rough and was nonoped since 2008. I have been messing around with Range Rover classics for years this is my first venture with a Porsche. Thanks for the heads up on the wiper motor I will be ordering it today.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I like the car but it has been neglected and I have lots of things to give attention to. I think it has a good foundation to work with and I have made good progress already. Thanks for the heads up Rob its ordered. The syncros for first and second gears are gone but if you keep your foot out of it you can shift without grinding.

Welcome. You have come to the most knowledgeable and friendliest place for the 928 there is.

Window switches can often be cleaned and rehabed. There are a few threads in here somewhere on it.

And there's a bit of a tradition here -
