Default Gauges all of the sudden bouncing around?

79 ROW - Auto ----Driving around yesterday and the gauges just started bouncing around - engine temp, gas, oil and volts. The speedo and tach seem to be fine? Where to look first? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. They would comeback and read OK for awhile and then start bouncing around again. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Sounds like a poor connection with the plugs for the gauges. They can get poor grounding and intermittent connections that can cause all kinds of gauge issues.

I would pull the cluster to see if the contacts need a good clean or not and bend the contacts inside of the connector so they get a more firm connection.
