Let me guess, Jerry tried an end round after you had closed the deal.

Jerry was 1st PM. Roger was 1st in the thread. I responded to Jerry, before seeing Roger's offer to take it all. (my Bad) I refunded Jerry hoping he'd understand as I was trying to clean out the garage, (selling it all) to make the wife happy not make a few bucks. He was not.. so the right thing to do was offer the part back to Jerry as his paypal came in 4min before Roger's. I'm a looser I know. Both parties have been refunded. Who new the ccu was gold man gold. :icon107: Again SORRY to all involved. flame away.

ROG100 10-26-2016 02:59 PM

Crooked because you should have not been asking for money from two people at the same time while selling the part plainly on Rennlist.
Likewise someone should not have been trying to "buy" secretly behind the scenes. You accepted my offer and I immediately paid the money in line with your request. The Third party should have not tried to go behind my back when all could see the deal was done.
Sorry a deal is a deal and all can be seen in black and white.
Doing a backdoor deal with someone else is not cricket at all in my book.

This week on American 928 Pickers: offering far below market value to people who don't know what they've got.

What do you think market value is on what he has for sale. The only thing worth anything is the HVAC head unit, and the last 4 I bought were way less than $250.00. I thought Rogers offer was generous since we dont even know if it works.

My apologies, I thought these were going for over $1k rebuilt from Int'l, but that was their new price.

I usually stay out of the fray but this seller seems to have genuinely made a mistake. He has apologized and refunded everyone concerned. Roger is a good guy, Jerry is a good guy, just an unfortunate set of circumstances

Don't get me wrong, I understand the frustration but we have experienced some truly unsavory characters over the years, this doesn't seem to be one of them.

I'm looking for a HVAC head for my 84US. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I think, but am not sure I see where the disconnect is.

You sold it to Jerry via PM, then saw a better offer on the public list, after the fact(minutes, hours, days - doesn't matter), took it back from Jerry, then resold it to Roger for more money. Not cool.

This is why Rennlist requires an asking price for all classifieds. His first post was very ambiguous and it caused this kind of situations. In the end, at least he admitted the mistake. However, now that he knows the parts in totality are worth more than $250, will they be on sale on eBay or craigslist now?

More money but = more parts.. not exactly apples to apples, but I did learn a lesson and am sorry for the hardships I caused.
