Post a Pic of Your 928 RIGHT NOW.

This seems to be a popular one on other car forums, let's give it a try here.
Pretty simple - post a pic of where your 928 is RIGHT NOW and/or what are you doing. Feel free to ask/answer questions without adding a pic. Mine's resting next to the little woman's luxobarge, awaiting its next ripper. |

Just got a coolant transfusion over the rainy weekend
1 Attachment(s)
Got a coolant transfusion in anticipation of winter lay-up. Drove it on a few errands, then to PCA dinner. Sitting up a little on the lift in case there are any telltale dribbles. So far, so good!
On the fence about whether I want to do the MM/OPG/trans mounts now or later. I don't plan to start it again after that bit of work until spring if I can avoid it. There's still a chance that there will be decent touring weather before risk of hail and snow brings in storage season. |
It's over there somewhere. Not sure what it's doing. I'm writing an exam.
EDIT: Bob, drive it down here in the spring, we can do a clinic at my place- payback for 2006. :) You'll have the opportunity for an apples-to-apples before/after comparison. https://webfiles.uci.edu/redwards/pu...2010-21-16.jpg |

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...c4420aa846.jpg Rears popped right off, phone dails in the basement for winter and Cup 1's on for storage. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...03f4dca6eb.jpg Found an indoor storage, polebarn+cement floor, for a buck fifty (six months), so old blacky will be cleaned up and taken there next Saturday. Only had a few maintenance issues, but I'll get them handled next spring. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...5be95ce3dd.jpg Nice part about this storage unit, it's at the county fairgrounds...and the cars have to be out on April 8th. This elimates the possibility of them being forgotten in time...like what happens to some that find their way to storage units. Brian. |

Congrats, on getting back after her and bringing her back to life. What's on your list to get her road worthy by spring? Brian. Thanks for the tip on the hood struts. Working away on all fuel lines and fluids, flush fuel tank, replace filter and pump. I've already done the complete ce panel refresh(remove, deoxit) and replaced all fuses and most of the relays. Injectors are now rebuilt and new seals ordered from Roger. Intake and vacuum lines on the go. New rims and rubber(current tires are 11 years old)picked up last week. Went and ordered new brake rotors and pads and have redone both front wheel bearings as 1 was shot. Am I missing anything? Once the mechanics are taken care of she will go for paint touch ups. Overall its good but a kid dropped a bike on the passenger side front fender. The purchase price was reflective of body damage. Car did run and drive when I picked it up. Have a great weekend Sonny |

It's one of the first things I did to it when I bought it 14 years ago (rear wiper too). I have little silver button plugs that fill the four mounting holes, so it's not permanent. The wing really only matters above 120, so I put it back on for certain road trips. :D I've done the same for my other S4. Here's a pic (same exact color as your 78). |
+1 The more examples I see the more I like it. The wing on my car was painted. It's been buffed too vigorously, thinning the paint on a few edges. Might take it off and not be in a rush to repaint it for awhile.

Yes. Me too.

I'm going nude!
The spoiler's mount were stripped and eventually it became really loose (reattachment after respray by PO was botched and threads were pulled from the spoiler) anyhow I kinda like it. Was there a factory spoiler delete option? Josh https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...6938ba08b9.jpg |
