928 on Petrolicious
It looks like a 928 has made it onto Petrolicious' radar. Today's video has a 928S4 in Speed Yellow in Iceland. (yes, repainted)

Petrolicious is by far my favorite Youtube car channel. But I gotta say I am really disappointed. This may be their weakest video yet. Not only is this guy not a 928 enthusiast, he admits he knows very little about the cars, but they barely talk about the car and its attributes. Thumbs down for me. Hopefully they will do another 928 only focused video with someone who actually can talk about the car.

Agreed. Usually you can count on the P videos for excellent takes of the engine soundtrack and sweeping closeups of mechanical details, all we got was headlights. Again with the damn headlights... Yeah, they pop up - big deal. Never mind double wishbones, never mind transaxles, speed covered air dams, never mind the sound above 3k.
That 5sec clip in the recent 928 Flyby post did a better job of capturing the car.

I agree with both of you. They have done some great videos in the past, but I do not know happened here. Hopefully, their candidate car pool has not decreased and this is what we are left with.

I, too, am a big fan of P. What I really like is the passion that the car onerss have for their cars and the driving experience. They also demonstrate a lot of knowledge of their cars. I feel this video is a more restrained (could be cultural - Icelandic) expression of his love of V8s and both cars. I also like the link between aviation and such cars. I am a big aviation fan. Still enjoyed seeing the 928 and I have to admit to really liking the Speed Yellow colour - 928 looks good in this colour, Cheers

Great article! I just added a 1992 500E Euro to my collection recently as a stable mate for the 1993 GTS.
Still have a long way to go to get it to optimum running condition - new wiring harnesses, motor mounts, throttle refresh, new tires, etc.
All the best,
Joe

Like that video, and there is something very endearing about that guy. His voice sounded a bit like the Georgio by Moroder track on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album. "My name is Georgio Moroder, but you can call me...Georgio."

What a great color for a car!
Methinks that the tone of the video is acceptable given the fact that we are talking about Nordic culture and communication style here.
What comes to my mind though through all these videos is "boys and toys." And I'm guilty as a accused...
