Default 928 fly by

I am not much of a Porsche guy. Defiantly not much of a 928 guy. I've been a BMW for long and am a member of various forums. Normally have no business on Rennlist at all.
I was minding my own business driving in my Truck with my girlfriend on the way to dinner when I noticed something was coming from behind in lightning speed. Luckily I had my camera on(don't ask why my Iphone on. I was able to get a split second of a video. The video is short and does not sound great but this thing sounded like a madmax mobile(drool) as it flew by us right outside of Minneapolis. At the time I was doing about 85mph. I hit 110mph(damm limiter) but this thing disappeared. It looked like late 928. Maybe a GTS. I am not sure as I am not an expert on 928s. I've been around fast cars and have had cars hit 180mph many times. He must have been 160mph plus.
The license plate was Darth Wader. I thought that was cool.
Anyhow, I thought you guys would get a kick out it.

Reminds me of being on the Autobahn when a Countach came by- I only identified it by the fin it was moving so fast.

Sorry, sir. I can't seem to get your link to open?
Great story, however.
Take care.

It's hard to say for sure but looking at what's there, I'd guess that was a 968, maybe tubocharged. The rear end just doesn't look much like a 928 to me (it's very blurry though). It seems too short somehow.

I couldn't tell you what type of 928 it was other than it was a late 928. I know enough Porsche to know the difference between 968 and 928. It looked very buffed. No way it was a skinny 968. I saw it from the mirror too. It was a 928 no doubt and it was going like a bat out of hell. I so wonder how fast it was going. It passed me by like I was standing still.

No doubt then it was a relativistic effect, causing the 928 to appear shortened to the stationary observer...

Well, the headlights sure look like a 928 to me. Maybe a GTS or modified to go that fast. Fun, although I gotta say, the few times I have had mine up over 120 on a public highway, the road gets so bumpy that it is threatening to throw the car right off.

968s don't sound like that. There were 8 cylinders humming in that car. Cool vid.

It was a S4 with an Xpipe and a slight tick in the #2 injector from the sound of it.
